Wow! This place is so very different from anything I’ve seen before.
So I’ve been in China for about 12 days now. It’s really tiring. My trip here is from July 27 to August 31. The first 3 weeks are spent with my parents who must visit something every day, sometimes two things and I’m really tired; and the last 2 will be more relaxed with just me and Ling at her folk’s.
So despite the tough schedule, it’s amazing here. The first shock was ariving in Beijing, and getting a car ride to the hotel. People here drive all over the road, streets are all crowded with cars, bikes, motorcycles people in a big blob, and somehow it works. Most drivers are really friendly towards each other, honking is not a big insult like back home.
It’s late and I want to keep this short so today I will just give a summary of things I’ve done.
- I’ve visited Beijing for a week, 2-3 items every day, it was killer there. Ling’s uncle Weihua Lin took care of us there.
- Took the night train over to Changsha, Hunan province.
- Spent a couple days in Changsha, was more relaxing. Ling’s parents took care of us there.
- Hopped in the car to our current location: Zhangjiajie, Hunan province. Ling’s parents are accompanying us here. I’ve been here for 3 days now, and it’s just breathtaking. I suggest google image search on this place until I post some pics.
- Tomorrow morning, we’re leaving for another town. I haven’t been there yet nor seen the name written down so i have no clue what it’s called. (Ling told me 2-3 times, but I don’t remember)
Anyways, I intend to post more (probably gradual posts about each city, maybe go into more detail about the highlight attractions, all with photos) when I get home.
